Case Study - British American Tobacco (China)
Background
Shaker were appointed by BAT (China) to design branded drinks and a bartender training program for the Horeca College of Excellence to be conducted in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou for 100 bartenders. The two brands sponsoring the training were Kent and 555.
What Shaker did
Shaker designed a tailored bartender training program alongside the marketing agency assisting in the delivery of the Horeca College of Excellence. 100 bartenders were trained by our MD Adam Freeth in the 3 cities with some of China's top bartenders in attendence. The objectives were met and exceeded through intense and interative classic and contemporary cocktail category demonstrations. Some of the drinks that came out of the creative session were the Vanilla and Tobacco Daiquiri, using the tobacco leaves of Kent infused in vanilla syrup; The Kenthatten, a modern twist on the all time classic and the 555fashioned.
The Horeca bartender training manual was translated into Mandarin and Canton, each bartender recieved a certificate of attendence and some goodies as a reminder of the day, the feedback from the bartenders was amazing and the demonstrations and training went down a storm.
