Jack Daniels
Established in the 1830s and registered by Jack Daniel in 1866, the Jack Daniel Distillery is the oldest registered distillery in the United States.

Jack Daniel believed "every day we make it, we'll make it the best we can", which is why we've kept the charcoal mellowing process. Jack Daniel's is dripped through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal and it's this extra step. It's this extra step that takes out any impurities and lends a unique, smooth taste. This is the process that makes Jack Daniel's a Tennessee Whiskey rather than a bourbon.

Pure iron-free spring water is also an essential part of the recipe, which explains why Jack was so eager to build his distillery at the Cave Spring Hollow in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

With a population of just 361, Lynchburg isn't exactly the biggest town in America. Yet it's famous the world over for being the home of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. The town is full of contradictions including being a dry county whilst creating the largest selling American Whiskey in the world.
Johnnie Walker Black Label
1820 – John Walker’s Business opens in Kilmarnock.

1870s – The square bottle was introduced.

Barley is naturally processed for distilling, the malted barley is ground to a rough flour then mashed by passing hot water through it, extracting a sweet liquid. The liquid is then cooled, yeast is then added and the mixture ferments, making a kind of crude beer. The beer is then distilled in a pot still – the clear liquid known as low wines are distilled a second time. The spirit is then aged in oak casks and Scotch whisky must, by law, be matured for at least three years in Scotland. The whiskies which make up JOHNNIE WALKER BLACK LABEL® are matured for a minimum of 12 years.

A concentrated solution of sugar and other natural aromas are added to this.
